About

I studied art, design and printmaking at St Martin's School of Art, London and The Royal West of England Academy. I live in a cottage in the Radnorshire hills of Wales which overlooks the Wye Valley across to the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons.

I work in oil, watercolour, pen, pencil, charcoal, and pastel as well as wood engraving and etching.

'If living is a process of coming to terms with our surroundings, then I would see my paintings as an interpretation of this process by means of inquiry or celebration; a public reflection of private rejoicings and unexpected incidents. I work from small sketches, colour notes and detailed observations which later become reworked and combined in my studio.'
